we had a great day yesterday! daddy was supposed to head to a show after picking up uncle marc at the airport but to our surprise, he had to pick up uncle jerry too which wasn't for another 2 hours! so uncle marc, daddy, janssen, jackson and mamabear all headed to the rainforest cafe for lunch! what an event!!! the boys had a great time and were really good in the restaurant - jackson loved the waterfall and wasn't even scared of the thunderstorm! we were shocked he didn't cry seeing as he crys at the drop of a hat anywhere else!!! just like his mama, he loved french fries!!! haha.. so that was great we got to have a few a few extra special hours with daddy AND uncle marc -- how fun!
papa had his back surgery.. (finally!) and we are happy to report all went well and he is doing great.. well, sore as imagined, but good otherwise.. it was a long 7 hour surgery but now its going to be a long recovery road but hopefully with a smiling jacksonbear to lift papa's spirits it won't be too bad! at least he is on the upswing now!!! thank you for all the kind words and fast recovery wishes - we will pass them on when we visit in the hospital..
jacksonbear has figured out how to go down stairs FINALLLLLY on his belly! he always tries to go head first which makes mama CRAZY - but this morning his wind-pants were slippery and he 'slipped' down a step (with mama right there of course!) well he just thought that was the funniest thing in the whole wide world!! so after he climbed a few steps up- he 'slipped' his way down again and cracked up with each step down!!! itw as very funny.. but then, 2 minutes later he forgot how to do that and it was back to trying to turn around head first! ohhhhhh the joys of stairs!!! :)
that little boy sure does like to eat! he eats pasta for what seems like every meal! he loves turkey and cheese, meatballs, nutragrain bars, pancakes, waffles, freeze dried fruit from gerber, alll of the gerber graduate meals, peas, cresent rolls, french fries, berries, blueberry muffins, yobaby (LOVES yobaby!) mashed potatoes with gravy, goldfish... the list goes on! he likes to sidestep down the couch or push his little ride-on toys all over the house - but as soon as you grab his fingers, he buckles his legs and sits down!! LAZYBONES!!! but i can tell walking isn't that far away and BOY are we in trouble then!! he wants to get down to be on the go every time you hold him.. he is SO busy - once he's walking we're going to be on the go, nonstop!!!! can you believe he is 11 MONTHS ALREADY!?!?!? that means NEXT month he is ONE?!?!?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO my little boy is growing up too fast!!!!!!!!!! :( (we are finishing up his birthday invites, so stay tuned,, they should be going out soon!)
okay well - its back to the kiddos.. just had a few minutes to write a few updates... sorry for the delay!! hehe....

I took this picture of ms. gracie and although it has nothing to do with my post, i do love it! i meant to post it a while ago but i was busy... anyways - i think she looks just too cute- she looked down from the swing set and said 'keri, take my picture!' i love that her hair is a mess too -- definitely a moment of childhood playing!
