well, as i mentioned in my last post... little bear has been very sick all week. starting last friday he has had a fever between 101 and 103 ... it finally broke on thursday... mamabear didn't like that at all. :( we went to the doctor on tuesday - it was a rough visit for the bear but he made it through -- i think mamabear cried more then he did and he was pretty mad!!! so we didnt go to work tuesday -wednesday - thursday - friday.. BUT HUSBAND of the CENTURY went to work FOR us on thursday and friday! What a good daddy!! I was worried about not going into work and really thought I should be there (I never call out) but with jackson being so sick i thought 1) i didnt want to bring it to their house and 2) he would have been a mess so it wouldnt have been a good time for the kids either... i said i would go to work and leave little bear home with daddy but the best husband in the world said, his job was to be a good daddy and that meant leaving jackson with mommy (who doesnt want mommy when they are sick!!!) so he would go to work for us! yay daddy... we sure are lucky! :)
so the fever finally broke on thursday... we spent most nights of last week sitting in jacksonsbears glider rocking and snuggling a sweaty little bear :( he was just so sad -- doing that little sad whimper in his sleep - you know the one i mean!!! my heart was breaking for the first time since he was born - it was the first time hes really been sick (not teething or anything but SICK) and there was NOTHING i could do but snuggle and comfort him... one funny thing was on wednesday night we got him up around 1130pm to give him more tylenol for his fever (he was in just his little onesie!) and he woke up enough to get a drink so we brought him out into the living room and let him crawl around for a bit... hahah.. he thought it was such a big TREAT! you could see in his face he was like... oouuhhh mom and dad, im not supposed to be up right now but look - we're playing toys! haha... after about 10 minutes we went back into his room and he went back to bed - it was so funny!!
so fever breaks and we think we're on the upswing... we went downstairs thursday evening to bring donna and paul a little thank you gift for helping us so much with the dog and all the little life savor things they do for us!! as we were walking back upstairs i saw something i didnt like.... i saw a little green goop in jacksons eyes.... yep. you know what that means. not on the upswing like i thought.
so jackson wakes up 6am on thursday morning with a big bad case of CONJUNCTIVITIS. gross. but the poor thing managed to still have a little smiling left in him... bless his heart! I have sucked on posting pictures lately so i captured a few from our last sickday of the week.... here ya go... (blogger wont let me preview so i cant write captions at the moment - i will come back to do it! -- all pictures are pretty much straight of out camera... no edits really -- Hey as you've read, I haven't had much time ya know!!! jeeze!)--- oh and excuse the grossness of his conjunctivitis... but come on - he's still pretty damn cute huh! hehe...
Note: I GOT CS3!!!!!!!! Now, i have NO idea what im doing - or how to use it really BUT - I can tell already- its going to make a WORLD of difference for my business... YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!! yet again - husband of the century! :) Do you see any differences in the photos above? i do - but thats because i know :) hehehe... any CS3 users with any advice for me????
what else do we have to report. Husband of the century stayed home with the baby bear this morning while mamabear got some ALONE time?!?!?!? yes thats right - not only did i get to have a manicure and pedicure but i even got to pick up a coffee on the way home!!! what is better then that on a rainy saturday? THANKS DADDY!!! i sure love you ;)
okay well little bear should be waking soon so i must be on my way -- i should be cleaning and doing some birthday party planning but i thought i needed to post a long overdue message for all of you loyal readers who keep coming back no matter how much time ive slacked!

Oh, Keri! Your poor little man! And poor mama, too. Evan has never been that sick before but I can just imagine it is heartwrenching. I hope that once he gets over the conjuncititous the poor little guy gets a break!
And, your DH sounds like such a great guy! And you are right- even with goopy eyes- Jackson is adorable!
poor jacksonbear. that flu seems to be going around in the northeast. my little nephew has it too.
and what a good dad. home from the road and falling right in like a champ.

Oh no. It sounds like you guys had a rough week last week. It is just no fun when they are sick. I think it is much harder on us. I hope Jackson is feeling better this week. He is such a cutie!
