Its HERE its HERE!!!

....okay so I made you wait long enough.. (really the day just escaped me before I knew it!)
BUT....

here ya go...

.............

.............................

MY LITTLE BABY ISN'T A LITTLE BABY ANYMORE!!!! HE GOT HIS FIRST HAIRCUT!!!!!!! (it was barely a haircut but definitely enough to make him look older!!!!)

oh boy - a fellow photographer friend made a post that I could have written myself ... all about her son turning on (and don't you worry, I'm sure you'll get one of those here too!!) But it really was shocking to me watching him get his haircut (through my camera lens of course! - what else is new!!) but i couldn't believe it - I feel like just yesterday I was IMAGINING what his hair would look like -- then he had that silly little mohawk for the longest time -- and now we had to cut off the little whispies that have been on his sweet little noggin since he was born!! wwaahhhhh.... this mamabear was so sad!!! Thankfully we went to Auntie Susan who is the bestest around -- she was so quick and he didnt even flinch! Don't kids usually get lolipops or anything sweet that keeps their attention for haircuts? My son - oh thats right, he gets a banana? haha... no, it just happened to be on the table in Susans fruit bowl and apparently thats an invitation for jackson to just pick it up and start eating it. So (the poor kid) kept chewing the peel while she was cutting his hair!! we didnt want to open it because then all his little pieces of hair would get in it!! so - like the good little boy that he is - he waited until he was done and then after he was handsome as ever, he got to eat the banana!!! haha... Thanks again Auntie Sue!! You're the BEST! We love you!!!!

but really - how stinken cute is he? doesn't he look like such a little boy!?!?! oh where oh where does the time go???

on another note... meet jacksons new favorite dinner item... a surefire sign of summer... corn on the cob!! can you tell he loves it!

apparently corn on the cob is slippery in those little hands! hahaha...

and last but not least -- welcome to the new game!! jackson loves to be in the backpack (which i highly suggest all you mommies get -- its awesome to have them hanging out but with your hands free -- its worth its wait in gold especially when im trying to take the dog out, bring the groceries in, unpack the car, etc etc etc. ) back to my story ... so mr. janssen, rick, jackson and mamabear headed to singing beach to enjoy the beautiful weather!... as you can tell by mamabears windblown hair - there was a bit of a breeze on the beach - but still a great day nonetheless... this is jackson new favorite thing to do... not only pull mommys glasses off -- (he tips his head to the side, reaches up and pulls!!) but he ALSO as you may have guessed, loves to just pull mommys HAIR... MAN that kids got a GRIP! haha... but the worst part... look at his little grin.. HE THINKS ITS SOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY!!!! stinker!!!! :-P

So thats all for now... gotta get back to client editing...

what do you think? was it worth the wait!?!!!

He is so cute... I don't know what I'm going to do when Hailie gets her first haircut.. they grow up WAY too quickly.

Cute! It is so amazing how much they "grow up" after their first hair cut - they turn into little boys instead of babies! Love the pictures!

Of course it was worth the wait! He looks so cute and you are right, very grown up. I am probably going to go all Kate Hudson with Evan's hair because I will be too sad to cut it. Turning one was hard enough- I don't think my heart can handle a haircut too!

What kind of backpack do you have?
